Keynote Speakers
· Dr. Margaret Leggatt (Aus) Founder of leading Australian mental health advocacy organisation SANE. Dr. Leggatt is a past President of the World Fellowship for Schizophrenia and Allied Disorders - an international body of family support organisations for people with a mental illness.
· Prof. Xavier Amador (US) Internationally sought-after speaker, clinical psychologist, professor at Columbia University, Teachers College, New York City. Author of eight books including US best seller “I’m Not Sick, I Don’t Need Help!”
· Paraire Huata (NZ) Paraire Huata (Ngati Kahungunu), “Trainer, instigator, teacher, mentor '" passionate about mental heath and drug and alcohol issues”. He works with high-risk offenders and tangata whaiora in mental health settings. Recent presentations include “the cultural/ clinical split” in mental health services.
