Auckland District Health Board
Our aim is to achieve the right mix of services for the people of Auckland
city while balancing the needs of people who live outside our area and require
our tertiary services.
Bay of Plenty District Health Board is a Crown entity, responsible for
funding and providing health and disability support services for the 200,000
people living in the Bay of Plenty district.
CMDHB is responsible for the funding of health and disability services and
for the provision of hospital and related services for the people of Counties
Manukau (Manukau City, and Franklin and Papakura Districts)
Our job, and what drives us is a passion to realise the goal of having New
Zealand's healthiest families. We will achieve this through: 'Working with
others to maximise the health and well-being of people in Hawke's Bay and the
Chatham Islands'.

improving our links with other service providers and the community. This

South Canterbury District Health Board serves about 54,000 people living in
the beautiful region bounded by the grandeur of the Southern Alps to the west,
the sparkling Pacific Ocean to the east, and the Rangitata and Waitaki rivers
to the north and south
Southland District Health Board (SDHB) is responsible for ensuring the
provision of publicly funded health care services to a population of
approximately 104,000* people throughout the SDHB catchment area.
The board governs all Taranaki public hospitals, community services,
including district nursing, health education and public health, such as health
promotion and protection.
The Waikato District Health Board is one of the largest of New Zealand's 21
district health boards. It is responsible for planning, funding, providing and
monitoring health and disability services for the Waikato population of
330,000.
Waitemata District Health Board (DHB) is the largest of New Zealand's 21
DHBs, serving a population of almost half a million people. It is responsible
for providing and funding health and disability services for people living in
North Shore City, Waitakere City and the Rodney District.
Whanganui District Health Board is a Crown entity and is responsible for
funding and providing health and disability support services in the Whanganui
district.
