I have joined SF again, at the beginning of June 2008. During my absence of the last seven months, I have been working as a social worker/counsellor at Waitemata DHB. My decision to come back to SF is based on my passion for mental health and working alongside families.
As an update I would like to mention that I am based in the Grey Lynn office, and am working as the Team Leader. I am also currently in the process of finishing a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through Massey University.
I am thrilled with the wonderful welcome I received from the team and am looking forward to an exciting time ahead.

Position: Field Work & Admin. Support Officer
My role is one of support to the Fieldworker Team and Administration Team. I also developed and manage SF Auckland's website and also support the Editor of our Newsletter.
I joined SF Auckland near the end of 2004 after 16 years as a Youthline Volunteer, working with a range of people both young and not so young on the phones. I was also a Telephone Room Mentor to new trainees, a senior member of the Mentor Team and a Facilitator. I also spent one year in administration as a staff member.
I also briefly worked in a residential Home with 4 adult men before my employment with SF Auckland.
I believe that my personal background as well as my training gives me the ability to welcome people to SF Auckland, whether they are phoning or calling in to our Central Office. A warm welcome and a smile is always waiting.

My name is Cathy and I work part time on Reception af SF Auckland in a support role to the Fieldworkers and administration team. As a family member of SF Auckland since 1992, I have been involved here in a variety of ways. I also bring the knowledge I have gained from my personal life experience and my years of working with and supporting family, friends and others towards recovery.
